From central Huehuetenango, head southwest on Calle 2 towards 6a Avenida. Continue straight for about 2.5 km until you reach the intersection with the CA-1 highway. Turn left onto CA-1 towards San Juan Ixcoy. After approximately 10 km, watch for signs directing you to Laguna de Zaculeu. There may be a small dirt road leading to the lake; follow this road for another 1-2 km until you reach the parking area near the lagoon.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
In Huehuetenango, head to the main minibus terminal located at the corner of 6a Avenida and Calle 3. Look for minibuses heading towards San Juan Ixcoy. The fare is usually around Q10-15. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Laguna de Zaculeu. Once you arrive at the nearest drop-off point, you may need to walk approximately 1-2 km along a dirt road that leads directly to the lagoon.
