Xetulul: Guatemala's World-Class Theme Park

Xetulul, located in the Retalhuleu Department of Guatemala, is more than just a theme park; it's a celebration of culture, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Opened in 2002, it stands as the third-largest amusement park in Latin America. The park is divided into nine main areas, each showcasing scale representations of popular buildings from different regions. Visitors can explore Plaza Chapina, Pueblo Guatemalteco, Plaza Maya, Plaza España, Plaza Italia, Plaza Francia, and Plaza Alemania-Suiza, each offering a unique architectural and cultural experience. Notable replicas include the Trevi Fountain, Moulin Rouge, and the Tikal Temple of the Great Jaguar. Xetulul boasts a variety of attractions, including thrilling rides, live entertainment, and cultural exhibits. The park also features electromechanical games for all ages, spectacular street shows, and the magical Grand Theater of France. Xetulul is associated with the nearby Xocomil waterpark, creating a combined destination that attracts over one million visitors annually. IRTRA, the organization that runs Xetulul, also operates hotels and restaurants near the parks, funded by some of the largest companies in Guatemala.
