If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city in the Northern Lowlands, such as Cobán or Guatemala City. From Cobán, take the CA-9 highway south towards Retalhuleu. Once you reach Retalhuleu, follow the signs for Xocomil, which is located on an unnamed road. The entrance is approximately 5 minutes from the city center. Ensure you have cash available for entrance fees, which typically cost around Q100 per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Xocomil via public transportation, first take a bus from Cobán or your current location in the Northern Lowlands to Retalhuleu. Buses to Retalhuleu are available frequently and cost around Q50 to Q70. Once in Retalhuleu, you can take a tuk-tuk or taxi to Xocomil, which should cost about Q20 to Q30. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
