If you are driving, start from Flores, the nearest major town. Take the CA-9 highway southeast towards Tikal. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will see signs for Tikal National Park. Follow these signs, and once you reach the entrance of Tikal, pay the entrance fee of around Q150 (approximately $20 USD) per person. Continue driving through the park; the Seven Temples are located within the park area, approximately 10 kilometers from the entrance. Look for signs directing you to the temples.
Public Transportation
To reach the Seven Temples using public transportation, take a shuttle bus from Flores to Tikal. These shuttles operate frequently and cost around Q50 (approximately $7 USD) per person. The journey lasts about 1 hour. Upon arrival at Tikal, pay the entrance fee of Q150 (approximately $20 USD). From the entrance, you can either hike or hire a local guide for a small fee to take you to the Seven Temples, which are about 10 kilometers inside the park.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more direct approach, consider hiring a taxi or using a ride-sharing app from Flores to Tikal. This option is more expensive, costing around Q300 (approximately $40 USD), but it takes you directly to the entrance of Tikal. Once there, you'll need to pay the Q150 entrance fee before continuing to the Seven Temples within the park.
