Experience Lo de Gerardo

Getting There

  • Car

    To reach Lo de Gerardo by car from central Quetzaltenango, first head west on Avenida Las Américas towards 15 Avenida. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with 4ta Calle. Turn left onto 4ta Calle and drive for another 1 kilometer until you see a sign for Zona 05. Continue on this road for approximately 500 meters until you reach RGQC+P2. Look for a parking space nearby, as parking can be limited.

  • Public Transportation

    From central Quetzaltenango, locate the bus terminal (Terminal de Buses). Look for a bus heading towards Zona 05 or any bus that indicates it will take you near RGQC+P2. The fare is approximately 5 Quetzales. Once aboard, inform the driver or conductor that you need to get off at Zona 05. After about 15 minutes, disembark when you see the signs for RGQC+P2. From there, it’s a short walk to the hiking area.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct and convenient option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Quetzaltenango to Lo de Gerardo. Simply tell the driver to take you to RGQC+P2 in Zona 05.
