Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the main area of Rio Dulce, start at the central plaza. Head east along the main road (Calle Principal) until you reach the bridge that crosses the Rio Dulce River. Cross the bridge and continue straight along the same road. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep walking until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork (Calle 2) and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs that point towards Puerto Barrios. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see a sign for Muelle Municipal on your right, close to the water.

  • Boat

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a boat from the river docks in Rio Dulce. Head to the docks located near the bridge. There are several local boats that offer transportation to Puerto Barrios. Ask the boat operator for a ride to Muelle Municipal. The boat ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the river and surrounding nature. Once you arrive at Puerto Barrios, follow the path along the waterfront to Muelle Municipal.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Rio Dulce. Start your ride from the plaza and head towards the bridge, crossing over the Rio Dulce River.
