Boat
If you are near the dock area in Rio Dulce, you can take a local boat taxi. Head towards the main dock, located near the bridge. Ask for a boat heading to Fronteras; they are frequent and should cost around 10-20 quetzales. Once you arrive at Fronteras, disembark and walk towards the bridge. 'The Shack' Hostel is located just under the bridge on the left side. Look for signs or ask locals for directions.

If you are in the central area of Rio Dulce, you can walk to 'The Shack' Hostel. Start at the main square and head towards the bridge that connects to Fronteras. Follow the road leading to the bridge; it should take about 20-30 minutes on foot. Once you cross the bridge, 'The Shack' Hostel is located directly beneath it. Look for the entrance marked with signs.

You can also take a local 'pick-up' truck (a common form of public transport in the area). Find a pick-up truck heading towards Fronteras, which can usually be found near the bus station or main square. The fare is typically around 5-10 quetzales. Once you reach Fronteras, walk towards the bridge. The hostel is located under the bridge on the left side. Just ask the driver or locals for help if you’re unsure.
