Public Transport
From Guatemala City, take a bus to Jalapa. Buses operated by Transportes Unidos Jalapanecos depart from Zone 1, 22nd Street 1-20, with departures every 30 minutes from 4:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. Once in Jalapa, take a local bus from the south side of Parque Central towards the falls. The final 25 km from Jalapa to the falls is along an unpaved road. Expect to pay around Q25-Q30 for the bus from Guatemala City to Jalapa. The local bus from Jalapa to the entrance will be a small additional fare.

Taxi
From Jalapa, hire a taxi or tuk-tuk to Catarata de Urlanta. The ride should cost between Q30-Q50. Ensure the driver knows you want to go to 'Cascadas de Urlanta'. The journey from Jalapa to the falls takes about 15 minutes.

Driving
From Guatemala City, take CA-9 towards the Atlantic, then RN 19 towards Jalapa. After 40 km, you will arrive in Jalapa. From the market area, head towards the cemetery and continue for 25 km on a dirt road until you see the entrance sign. The final 3 km before arriving to the entrance are unpaved. Be aware that the road can be rough, and a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
