Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Castel Parish Church located at the center of Castel. Exit the church and head southwest towards the main road, La Rue des Moulins. Turn right onto La Rue des Moulins and walk for approximately 0.5 miles (800 meters). You will pass the Castel Hospital on your left. Continue straight until you reach the junction with La Rue de la Basse. Turn left onto La Rue de la Basse and follow it as it curves around. This road will take you directly towards Rocquaine Bay. Once you reach the coast, follow the path along the beach towards Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum. The museum is located on the shore at Rocquaine, and you will see the fort as you approach.

    From Castel, walk to the nearest bus stop which is located at the Castel Hospital. Catch the bus number 71 or 91 towards St. Peter Port. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop for Rocquaine. Once you disembark, walk towards the coast and follow the signs to Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum, which is a short walk from the bus stop, located right on the shore.

    If you have a bike, start from the center of Castel and head towards La Rue des Moulins.
