Getting There

Walking
From the center of St. Peter Port, start at the Town Church on the High Street. Head south towards the harbour, passing the Guernsey Museum on your left. Continue along the main road, which turns into St. Julian's Avenue. Follow this road until you reach the traffic roundabout, where you will take the second exit onto the Route de La Lande. Stay on Route de La Lande for approximately 1 mile, enjoying the scenic views. As you approach the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the Route des Coutures. After about 0.5 miles, you will see a sign for Portelet Bay. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Portelet Bay, a beautiful public beach.

Bus
Start at the bus station in St. Peter Port. Board the bus that goes towards St. Martin's. You will want to take the bus route that stops at 'Port Soif' or 'Portelet'. These buses come approximately every 30 minutes. Once you are on the bus, enjoy the ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the Portelet stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk downhill to the beach. Follow the pathway leading you directly to Portelet Bay.
