  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Torteval. Head east on the B1230 road toward St. Martins. Continue on the B1230 until you reach the junction with the A27. Turn right onto the A27. Follow the A27 for about 2 miles. You will see signs for La Barbarie Hotel. Turn left onto Saints Bay Road and continue for approximately 0.5 miles. The hotel will be on your right. There is parking available at the hotel.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the local bus service from Torteval to St. Martins. Check the local bus schedule for the most current routes and times as they may vary. The bus will take you along the A27, and you should disembark at the stop closest to Saints Bay Road. From the bus stop, walk along Saints Bay Road for about 10 minutes, and La Barbarie Hotel will be on your right. Make sure to check the return bus schedule for your trip back.

• Walking

  If you're up for a walk, La Barbarie Hotel is approximately 1.5 miles from the center of Torteval. Start by heading east on the B1230. Follow the road as it leads to St. Martins. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the A27. Cross at the designated crosswalk and continue onto Saints Bay Road. La Barbarie Hotel will be on your right. This is a pleasant walk through the Guernsey countryside, so enjoy the scenery!
