If you are traveling by car, start in the town of Cacheu. From the center of Cacheu, head southwest on the main road (EN4) towards the village of Bula. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork to stay on EN4. After about 5 more kilometers, you will see signs for Fort Cacheu. The entrance to the fort is located on your right. Park in the designated area and enjoy your visit.

For those using public transportation, head to the Cacheu bus station. Look for a shared taxi (known as a 'taxi collectif') heading towards Bula. The fare should be around 500 CFA francs per person. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Fort Cacheu. The journey should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the fort.

If you are staying in Cacheu and prefer walking, you can make your way to Fort Cacheu on foot. From the town center, follow the main road (EN4) toward Bula.
