If you are traveling by car within the Boke Region, start by heading towards the town of Boke. From Boke, take Route Nationale 1 (RN1) heading east. Continue on RN1 for approximately 37 kilometers until you reach the town of Kamsar. From Kamsar, take the road towards Bora. After about 15 kilometers, you will see signs for the National Park of Upper Niger. Follow the signs for another 5 kilometers until you reach the park entrance at coordinates 7WJ9+QPJ, Bora, Guinea. Make sure to check your fuel levels and have a spare tire, as road conditions can vary.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey at the main bus station in Boke. Look for a shared taxi (clando) heading towards Kamsar. The fare is typically around 5000 GNF (Guinean Francs). After reaching Kamsar, you will need to find another shared taxi or a local minibus heading to Bora. The cost for this leg of the journey should be about 3000 GNF. Once you arrive in Bora, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to the entrance of the National Park of Upper Niger, which is approximately 5 kilometers away from the town center.

Motorbike Taxi
An alternative option is to use a motorbike taxi (zémidjan) for a more adventurous journey. You can find zémidjans in Boke. Negotiate the fare to Kamsar, which should be around 7000 GNF. Upon reaching Kamsar, ask the driver to take you directly to the National Park of Upper Niger in Bora. Expect to pay an additional fare of 5000 GNF for this leg. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow the driver's safety instructions.
