Walking
From the center of Faranah, head towards the main road leading out of town. Follow the signs for Conakry, which will guide you towards the route. As you walk, you may encounter local shops and cafes, providing a glimpse into the local culture. Continue walking for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the bus station in Faranah. Here, you can catch a shared taxi (often called 'clando') heading towards Conakry. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they are going to Conakry and ask for the fare beforehand.
Shared Taxi
Once you are in the shared taxi, enjoy the ride as you travel approximately 450 kilometers to Conakry. The journey may take several hours, so be prepared for a scenic trip. Upon arrival in Conakry, ask the driver to drop you off at a central location, such as the Place de l'Indépendance, which is a well-known landmark. From here, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Grande Mosquée de Conakry.
Walking
After being dropped off at Place de l'Indépendance, walk towards the Boulevard de la République. This will lead you through the bustling streets of Conakry. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Moussa Tavele. Turn left onto Avenue Moussa Tavele and walk for about 1 kilometer. You should start to see signs directing you to the Grande Mosquée. The mosque is located at the coordinates G8M8+69M, which is a prominent landmark in the area.
