Car Rental
If you are in Kindia and have access to a rented car, start your journey by heading south on the main road (N1). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction leading towards Sangareya Bay. Here, you will see a sign indicating the direction. Follow this road for another 15 kilometers, and keep an eye out for further signage directing you to the bay.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
From Kindia, you can catch a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) heading towards the coastal region. Make your way to the main taxi-brousse station in Kindia. The fare is typically around 5,000 GNF (Guinean Francs). Inform the driver that you want to go to Sangareya Bay. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours. You may need to walk the last few kilometers from the drop-off point to the bay, as not all taxi-brousses go directly to the beach.
Motorcycle Taxi (Zemidjan)
For a more adventurous route, consider taking a zemidjan (motorcycle taxi) from Kindia. You can find them near major intersections. Negotiate a fare with the driver, which usually ranges from 10,000 to 15,000 GNF. The ride will take you directly to Sangareya Bay, but ensure the driver knows the exact location as it is less common than other destinations.
Walking
If you are close to Sangareya Bay, walking could be an enjoyable option. Follow local paths and inquire with locals for directions, as they can provide the best routes. Always ensure you are aware of your surroundings and carry sufficient water, especially in the heat.
