    If you are traveling by car, start from Nzerekore. Head southwest on the N1 road. After approximately 34 km, take the exit toward Mont Nimba Strict Nature Reserve. Follow the signs towards the reserve entrance. Upon entering the reserve, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which is typically around 10,000 GNF (Guinean Francs). Continue on the main road through the reserve, and then follow the signs that direct you to Mont Nimba. The journey from Nzerekore to Mont Nimba should take about 1 hour.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Mont Nimba using public transportation, first take a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) from Nzerekore to the nearest village near the reserve. This taxi ride may cost around 5,000 GNF and will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the village, you can hire a local guide or a motorcycle taxi (also known as 'zemidjan') to take you to the Mont Nimba entrance.
