You will pass through several small villages. Keep an eye out for signs indicating 'Linden' as you approach the town. Once you enter Linden, follow the signs to Blue Lake. The lake is about 10 kilometers from the town center. There is no entry fee to access the lake.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin by taking a minibus or taxi from Berbice River to Linden. The journey typically costs around 500 GYD ($2.50 USD) and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Linden, look for a local taxi or minibus heading to Blue Lake. The fare is usually about 200 GYD ($1 USD) per person. It is advisable to confirm with the driver that they will take you directly to Blue Lake before boarding.
Bicycle or Walking
If you prefer a more adventurous route or are staying close to Blue Lake, consider biking or walking from Linden. The route is approximately 10 kilometers and is quite scenic. Ensure you bring plenty of water and snacks, as there may not be shops along the way. The terrain is relatively flat, making it accessible for cyclists and walkers alike.
