    Getting There

    Car

    From Berbice River, take the main road heading south towards New Amsterdam. Follow the signs for the Corentyne Highway (also known as the Berbice Highway). Continue on this road for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the town of Georgetown. Once in Georgetown, head towards the Demerara Harbour Bridge. After crossing the bridge, follow signs for the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. After about 30 minutes, take the exit towards the town of Linden. From Linden, continue on the road to the town of Lethem. Finally, you'll need to take a small aircraft from the Lethem airstrip to get to Cataratas Kaieteur. Flights can be booked in advance through local airlines, costing around $150 to $250 USD depending on the season.

    Public Transport

    From Berbice River, take a bus or minibus to New Amsterdam. Buses leave regularly and the fare is approximately GYD 500. From New Amsterdam, take another bus to Georgetown, which will cost around GYD 1000 and take about 2 hours. Once in Georgetown, you’ll need to catch a taxi or hire a car to the Demerara Harbour Bridge. After crossing the bridge, take a bus heading towards Linden (fare about GYD 800). Once in Linden, you will have to book a flight from the local airstrip to Cataratas Kaieteur. Ensure to check flight schedules and prices in advance, which can range from $150 to $250 USD.
