    If you are driving from Lethem, head north on the main road (the Takutu Road) for approximately 80 km until you reach the Kurupukari Crossing. The road is generally in good condition, but be cautious of potholes and wildlife. Upon arrival at the Kurupukari Crossing, look for signs directing you to Iwokrama River Lodge, which is just a short distance from the crossing. Parking is available at the lodge.

    For travelers using public transportation, take a minibus from Lethem to the Kurupukari Crossing. Minibuses depart frequently from the Lethem bus park and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Kurupukari Crossing, you may need to hire a taxi or arrange a pickup in advance with Iwokrama River Lodge, as it is approximately a 10-minute drive from the crossing to the lodge. Expect to pay around GYD 2000 to 3000 for a taxi ride.
