Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Georgetown, take the East Bank Demerara road heading north. After about 70 kilometers, you will reach the town of Linden. Once in Linden, follow the signs towards the Mackenzie area. At the intersection near the Mackenzie Sports Club, turn right onto Unnamed Road. Continue straight for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the Blue Lake, which will be on your left. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for rough roads as some sections may be unpaved.

Public Transportation
To reach Blue Lake by public transport from Georgetown, take a minibus heading to Linden from the Stabroek Market terminal. The fare is approximately GYD 1,500. Upon arriving in Linden, ask the driver to drop you off at the Mackenzie Sports Club. From there, you can either take a taxi for about GYD 500 to the lake or walk along the Unnamed Road for about 5 kilometers. The walk will take approximately 1 hour.
