Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Artibonite Valley. Once you approach the valley area, turn onto the local roads that lead into the valley. The area is scenic, and you may want to pull over for photos or local shops along the way.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a tap-tap (a shared taxi) from any major point in Artibonite. Head to the nearest tap-tap station and look for one going towards Saint-Marc. The fare is usually around 50 HTG (Haitian Gourdes). Tell the driver you are going to Artibonite Valley. Once you arrive at Saint-Marc, you may need to switch to another tap-tap or a motorcycle taxi (moto) to get closer to the valley area, which may cost an additional 30-40 HTG.
Motorcycle Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (moto). After reaching Saint-Marc by tap-tap, ask for a moto that can take you to Artibonite Valley. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which usually ranges from 80 to 150 HTG depending on your exact destination within the valley. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow safety precautions while riding.
