Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the Cap-Haïtien public market (Marché Public de Cap-Haïtien), head south on Rue 2 towards the intersection with Rue 1. Turn right onto Rue 1 and continue walking until you reach the waterfront. You will see the sea on your left. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the beach area, where local vendors are present. From here, you should follow the beach path towards the west. Keep walking straight for about 20 minutes, and you will see Fort Picolet on your right, located at QRM6+396 rival beach.

    If you are near the Cathedral of Cap-Haïtien, head west towards Rue des Fronts Forts. Walk straight until you reach the main road, Route Nationale #1. Turn left onto Route Nationale #1 and continue walking along the road for about 15 minutes until you see signs for the beach area. Once you reach the beach, turn right and follow the coastline for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Fort Picolet.

    From the Cap-Haïtien airport (Aéroport International Hugo Chávez), exit the airport and head towards Route Nationale #1. Turn left and continue walking along the main road for about 30 minutes. Once you reach the beach area, turn right and follow the beach path. After about 15 minutes of walking along the beach, you will see Fort Picolet on your right.
