Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the center of Côtes-de-Fer. Head east on Route National 2 (RN2) towards Jacmel. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take the left turn onto the road that leads to Raymond. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you see a sign for Family Beach. The beach is located at the coordinates 18.3006° N, 73.1851° W. There is no designated parking area, so you may need to find a safe spot along the roadside.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Family Beach using public transport, look for a tap-tap (shared taxi) that goes towards Jacmel from the main square in Côtes-de-Fer. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Raymond. The fare is typically around 50 HTG (Haitian Gourde). Once you arrive at the junction, you may need to walk approximately 5 kilometers to reach Family Beach. Alternatively, you can ask a local if there is a motorcycle taxi available to take you directly to the beach for an additional fee.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of Family Beach and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route. Start from the nearest landmark or your accommodation in Côtes-de-Fer. Head towards the main road leading to RN2, then follow it east until you reach the junction. From there, continue onto the road to Raymond. Walking distance is about 5 kilometers from the junction to the beach, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
