From any location in Grand'Anse, head towards the main road leading out of the town. Follow Route Nationale #2 (RN2) heading southwest. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route #3. Turn left onto Route #3 and follow the signs for Pic Macaya. The road will become more rugged as you approach the mountain. It is recommended to have a four-wheel-drive vehicle due to the rough terrain. Look out for signs indicating the entrance to Pic Macaya National Park, where you can park your vehicle.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local tap-tap (shared taxi) from Grand'Anse to the nearest town that serves as a gateway to Pic Macaya, which is usually La Vallée. The fare is typically around 50 HTG (Haitian Gourdes) per person. Once you arrive in La Vallée, you can either hire a local motorcycle taxi (moto) for a more direct ride towards Pic Macaya or join a group to share the cost. The moto fare can range from 100 to 200 HTG depending on your negotiation skills and the distance. Ensure you ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Pic Macaya National Park.

Hiking
Once you arrive at the entrance of Pic Macaya National Park, there is a hiking trail leading up to the peak. It is advised to hire a local guide for the hike, which can cost around 500 HTG. The hike can take several hours, so make sure to carry enough water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking gear. The trail is marked, but having a guide will enhance your experience and ensure safety.
