Getting There

• Walking

  If you are staying in the central area of Jacmel, head toward the Main Street (Rue du Commerce). Walk straight until you reach the intersection where you see a large colorful mural; this is a popular meeting point. From there, turn left onto Route de la Mer. Continue walking along this road until you reach the bus station. Ask locals for directions to the bus heading to Port-au-Prince, specifically to the area around HMCW+CC9. It’s important to ensure you board the correct bus going to Port-au-Prince. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Bus

  Once you arrive at the bus station in Jacmel, look for a bus marked 'Port-au-Prince'. The buses are usually packed with locals, so be ready for a lively atmosphere. Purchase your ticket from the driver or the ticket collector as you board. The bus will take you directly to Port-au-Prince. Upon arrival, you will get off at the main bus terminal. From the terminal, you can either walk or take a motorcycle taxi (moto) towards HMCW+CC9. If walking, ask locals for directions to the nearest major road, Boulevard Jean-Jacques Dessalines, and make your way to the location.

• Motorcycle Taxi (Moto)

  After arriving at the Port-au-Prince bus terminal, look for the motorcycle taxis waiting outside. Negotiate your fare to HMCW+CC9, Port-au-Prince. The drivers are familiar with the area and will take you directly there. Ensure to wear a helmet and hold on tight during the ride, as traffic can be hectic. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
