If you're driving from the center of Nippes, head southeast on Route Nationale #2 towards La Hafte. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the junction for Île à Vache. Follow the signs directing you to La Hafte. Once you arrive in La Hafte, look for the coordinates 37VX+M55 on your GPS or mapping application. Abaka Bay and Resort will be located nearby, approximately 5 kilometers from the main road.
Public Transportation
To reach Abaka Bay and Resort via public transportation, start by taking a tap-tap (shared taxi) from Nippes to Les Cayes. The fare will typically be around 100 HTG. Upon arriving in Les Cayes, transfer to another tap-tap heading towards La Hafte. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will drop you off near La Hafte. The fare for this leg should be about 50 HTG. Once you arrive in La Hafte, ask locals for directions to the coordinates 37VX+M55, as the resort is a short distance away.
Boat
For a unique experience, consider taking a boat to Île à Vache from Les Cayes. First, take a tap-tap to the port in Les Cayes (about 50 HTG). The boat ride to Île à Vache will cost around 300 HTG and takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Île à Vache, hire a local guide or take a moto-taxi to Abaka Bay and Resort, which is located approximately 5 kilometers away from the nearest docking point.
