If you are driving from Jacmel, head north on Route Nationale #2 towards Port-au-Prince. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit towards Fort Jacques, which is well-signposted. Follow the signs for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance of Fort Jacques. There is no entry fee, but be prepared for a winding road leading up to the fort.

Public Transportation
To reach Fort Jacques by public transportation, take a local 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) from Jacmel to Port-au-Prince. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection near Fort Jacques. From there, you can either walk (about 20-30 minutes uphill) or hire a motorcycle taxi to take you directly to the fort entrance for around 200 HTG (Haitian Gourdes). Ensure you confirm the cost beforehand with the driver.

If you are already in the vicinity and prefer walking, from the main road towards Fort Jacques, follow the path that leads directly uphill. It is about a 30-minute walk from the nearest tap-tap drop-off point. The path is somewhat steep, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water with you.
