If you're traveling by car, start from the capital city, Port-au-Prince. Take Route Nationale #2 (RN2) south towards Les Cayes. Continue on RN2 until you reach the town of Port Salut. Once in Port Salut, look for the local roads leading to the beach area. Cascade Touyac is located at coordinates 18.1041° N, 73.9216° W. Use a GPS or a map app to navigate to the exact location: 433H+J8Q, Port Salut. Expect a travel time of about 4-5 hours depending on traffic conditions. Parking is typically available near the cascade.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascade Touyac using public transportation, first head to the central bus terminal in Port-au-Prince. Look for a bus heading to Les Cayes. Once you arrive in Les Cayes, transfer to a local 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) that goes to Port Salut. Inform the driver you are heading to Cascade Touyac or ask for stops near the area. The total travel time may range from 5 to 7 hours, including transfers. Costs for the bus are approximately 200-300 HTG and the tap-tap ride may cost around 50-100 HTG. Be prepared for a potentially crowded journey.
