The journey will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Milot, you will need to look for signs or ask locals about the parking area for the Citadel. There is a small parking fee, usually around 100 HTG (Haitian Gourde). After parking, you will have to hike up a steep path to reach the Citadel, which is about a 30-minute walk uphill.

Public Transportation (Tap-tap)
From Port-au-Prince, take a tap-tap (shared taxi) heading north to Cap-Haïtien. You can find these at various locations in the city, such as the Champ de Mars. The fare is roughly 250 HTG. Upon reaching Cap-Haïtien, you will need to transfer to another tap-tap or a local bus heading towards Milot. The fare for this leg is about 100 HTG. When you arrive in Milot, you can either walk to the Citadel (approximately 1 hour) or hire a local guide or a motorcycle taxi for a small fee (around 200 HTG) to take you to the Citadel entrance.
