Car
From San Pedro Sula, take the CA-5 highway towards La Entrada. Continue for about 45 km until you reach the town of La Entrada. From there, follow the signs to Cusuco National Park. Once you enter the park, you will need to pay a small entrance fee (approximately 50 Lempiras). Drive along the main road through the park, enjoying the scenic views. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the El Danto trailhead. Park your vehicle in the designated area, and you can start your hike towards El Danto.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from San Pedro Sula heading towards La Entrada. The fare is approximately 50 Lempiras and the journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in La Entrada, look for a local bus or taxi that will take you to Cusuco National Park (approximately 30 Lempiras for a local bus or around 200 Lempiras for a taxi). After entering the park, pay the entrance fee (about 50 Lempiras). You can then walk or hire a local guide to take you to the El Danto trailhead, which is a short hike from the main road.
Hiking
Once you reach the El Danto trailhead by car or public transport, begin your hike on the marked trail. The hike to El Danto is moderate and takes about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking shoes, water, and snacks. Follow the signs to El Danto, and enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature as you make your way to the destination.
