Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city center of Intibucá. Head east on the main road towards the intersection with the CA-4 highway. Merge onto CA-4 heading towards Tegucigalpa. Continue on CA-4 for approximately 70 kilometers. Once you reach Tegucigalpa, look for the signs directing you to 'Parque Nacional La Tigra.' Take the exit towards 'Carretera al Parque Nacional La Tigra' and drive for about 17 kilometers. Finca La Cantadora will be located on your right side along this road. Make sure to keep an eye out for the signs as you approach, as it may be easy to miss.
Public Transportation
To reach Finca La Cantadora via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Intibucá to Tegucigalpa. Buses frequently run from the Intibucá bus terminal to the Tegucigalpa terminal, and the fare is usually around 100 Lempiras. Upon arriving in Tegucigalpa, you will need to transfer to a bus that goes towards 'Parque Nacional La Tigra.' These buses can be found at the terminal, and the fare will be approximately 50 Lempiras. The journey may take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Inform the bus driver of your destination, and they will drop you off near Finca La Cantadora, which is about a 10-minute walk from the drop-off point.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct option, consider taking a taxi. You can hire a taxi from Tegucigalpa to Finca La Cantadora. This option is more expensive, with fares typically ranging from 300 to 500 Lempiras, depending on the negotiation and time of day. The taxi ride should take approximately 30 to 40 minutes, as it is a direct route without the need for transfers. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
