If you're traveling by car, start from the town of La Paz and take the CA-5 highway north. Follow the signs for Trujillo. After approximately 2 hours of driving, you will arrive in Trujillo. Once in Trujillo, navigate to the coordinates W2CX+C33, which is the exact location of Fortaleza de Santa Bárbara. There are signs directing you to the fortress as you get closer. There is no entrance fee to the fortress, but be sure to check for any parking fees in the area.

Public Transportation
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from La Paz to Trujillo. Buses leave frequently from the La Paz bus terminal and the journey takes about 2 to 3 hours, depending on the service. Once in Trujillo, you can either take a taxi or walk to the fortress location at W2CX+C33. Taxis are available outside the bus terminal and should cost around 100-150 Lempiras. Keep in mind that bus fares can vary, typically ranging from 150 to 200 Lempiras.
