If you are driving, start from the city of Gracias. Head northwest on the CA-4 highway towards Villaverde. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will see signs for Parque Nacional Celaque. Turn left onto the unpaved road leading into the park entrance. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last few kilometers can be bumpy. There is no entrance fee, but you may want to bring cash for any potential guides or services once inside the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Parque Nacional Celaque via public transportation, first, take a bus from Gracias to Villaverde. Buses leave frequently from the central bus station and the fare is typically around 30 Lempiras. Once in Villaverde, you can either walk (about 5 kilometers) to the park entrance or hire a local taxi. Make sure to negotiate the fare before getting in, as taxis typically do not have meters. Expect to pay around 100-150 Lempiras for the taxi ride.
