Car
If you are driving from the city of La Union, head southeast on the CA-13 highway. After approximately 45 kilometers, you will reach the junction towards Planes. Turn left onto the road that leads to Planes. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach the center of Planes. From there, use GPS coordinates (14.9688, -86.3743) to navigate directly to El Pacón Manto, which is located just outside the town. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
To reach El Pacón Manto via public transportation, take a bus from the main bus terminal in La Union heading towards Planes. The journey typically takes around 1-1.5 hours, and buses run several times a day. Once you arrive in Planes, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the site, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. Expect to pay around 50-100 Lempiras for the taxi fare. Make sure to confirm the return schedule for your bus back.
Taxi
