Getting There

    From Pico Bonito National Park, head west on the CA-4 highway towards La Ceiba. Continue for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the junction for the CA-1 highway. Take the exit onto CA-1 and drive for about 100 kilometers. Follow the signs to Gracias, where you will turn onto the road leading to Villaverde, which is about 12 kilometers from the main highway. Once you arrive in Villaverde, look for signs directing you to Parque Nacional Celaque. The park entrance is located just outside the village.

    To travel by public transportation, first make your way to La Ceiba and find the bus terminal. Board a bus heading to Gracias. The journey takes about 2-3 hours, and the fare is approximately 100-150 Lempiras. Once in Gracias, you can take a local taxi or a 'pickup' (shared taxi) to Villaverde.
