Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Mirador Rodríguez within Cusuco National Park, start from the main entrance of the park. Follow the main road through the park, which is well-marked. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach a fork; take the left path that leads to the Mirador Rodríguez viewpoint. Be cautious of road conditions, as they can be rough and may require a 4x4 vehicle. Continue for another 5 kilometers until you see the signs for Mirador Rodríguez. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mirador Rodríguez using public transportation, first take a bus from San Pedro Sula to La Entrada. From La Entrada, you will need to catch a local minibus heading to Cusuco National Park. Inform the driver that you are going to Mirador Rodríguez. The bus will drop you off at the park entrance. From there, you may need to hire a local guide or a taxi to reach the viewpoint, as public transport may not go directly to Mirador Rodríguez. Expect to pay around $10-15 for the guide/taxi service.

• Hiking

  If you are already within Cusuco National Park and prefer hiking, you can access Mirador Rodríguez via a marked hiking trail. Start at the main park visitor center and follow the designated trails that lead to the viewpoint. The hike is approximately 6 kilometers and can take around 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and plenty of water, as the trail can be steep and challenging in some sections.
