Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, head towards Aggtelek village. From the center of Aggtelek, take the road that leads towards the Aggtelek National Park entrance. Continue on the main road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the sign for Meteor Cave (Meteor-barlang) on your right. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. The cave is a short walk from the parking area, following the marked trail.

Public Transportation

To reach Meteor Cave using public transportation, take a bus to Aggtelek from a nearby city such as Eger or Miskolc. Upon arriving at the Aggtelek bus station, you can either walk to the Meteor Cave or take a local taxi. Walking will take approximately 30 minutes; head east from the bus station along the main road until you see the sign for Meteor Cave. If you prefer a taxi, expect to pay around HUF 2000-3000 for the short ride.

If you are already in Aggtelek National Park and wish to walk to Meteor Cave, start from the central park area. Follow the signs leading to Meteor Cave, which is approximately a 3 km walk. The path is well-marked and takes you through beautiful natural scenery, so be sure to enjoy the surroundings as you make your way there.
