Car
If you're traveling by car, you can start from any location in the Börzsöny Mountains. Use the GPS coordinates 48.0167213, 19.0360944 to navigate directly to Drégely Castle located at Drégelypalánk, Drégely vára, 2646. From the main road (Route 12), take Route 2 towards Drégelypalánk. Follow the signs for the castle; there is a parking area available nearby. Please note that parking may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a train or bus to the nearest town, which is Szob. From Szob, you can catch a local bus to Drégelypalánk. Buses run several times a day, but be sure to check the local schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Drégelypalánk, it's about a 15-minute walk to the castle. Follow the signs leading towards Drégely Castle.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can start from various hiking trails in the Börzsöny Mountains. A popular route is to hike from the nearby village of Nagyirtás, which takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the marked trails, and look out for signs directing you to Drégely Castle. Make sure to wear appropriate footwear, as trails can be uneven.
