From the Inner City, head towards the Danube River. If you're near the famous Chain Bridge (Lánchíd), cross over to the Buda side. Once you reach the Buda side, follow the signs that indicate Buda Castle or head up the hill towards the direction of the castle. The walk will take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the river and the city.

Alternatively, after walking to the Buda side from the Chain Bridge, you can take the Buda Castle Funicular. Located at Clark Ádám Square, this funicular ride will take you directly up to Buda Castle. The cost for a single ticket is approximately 1,200 HUF (Hungarian Forint) as of 2023.
