Getting There

  • Metro

    Start your journey at Deák Ferenc tér, one of Budapest's major metro stations. Take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. After one stop, transfer at Vörösmarty tér to Metro Line 2 (the red line) towards Déli pu. Get off at the next stop, Déli Pályaudvar. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs to the Buda Castle shuttle bus.

    From Déli Pályaudvar, look for the shuttle bus that goes to Buda Castle. The bus stop should be clearly marked. Board the bus, which will take you directly to the castle district. The bus ride lasts approximately 10-15 minutes.
