Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are starting from Deák Ferenc tér, take the M1 metro line (the yellow line) in the direction of Mexikói út. Get off at the second stop, Vörösmarty tér. From Vörösmarty tér, walk to the nearby bus stop and take bus number 16. The bus will take you up to the Buda Castle area. Get off at the 'Szentháromság tér' stop. From there, Fisherman's Bastion is just a short walk away. Follow the signs to the Bastion, which is located at Szentháromság tér, 1014 Budapest.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Buda Castle, walk towards the southern side of the castle area. Head towards the Szentháromság tér, which is easily accessible from the castle grounds. Fisherman's Bastion is located directly on this square, and you should see signs guiding you there. The walk is about 10 minutes from the castle, and it offers beautiful views of the Danube River and Pest.

  • Tram

    If you are near the tram line, take tram number 19 or 41 towards the Buda side. Get off at the 'Dísz tér' stop. From Dísz tér, walk up the hill towards Szentháromság tér. Fisherman's Bastion is located at the top of the hill, and you will be able to see it as you approach the square. This walk takes approximately 10-15 minutes and is a pleasant route through the historic district.
