Getting There

• Public Transport

  To get to Budapest, Deák Ferenc tér from Vác, start by walking to the Vác train station. Look for the signs that direct you to the train platforms. Purchase your ticket to Budapest and board the train heading towards Budapest Nyugati station. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Budapest Nyugati station, exit the station and look for the signage that indicates the way to the metro. Take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Travel for 4 stops and get off at the Deák Ferenc tér station. Upon exiting the metro, you will find yourself at Deák Ferenc tér, which is the location of your destination.

• Walking

  If you are within walking distance of Vác's city center, head towards the main street, Váci út. From there, navigate towards the Váci train station. Once you are at the station, you can follow the instructions for taking the train to Budapest as mentioned above. Be sure to check the train schedule for departure times.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike in Vác and head towards the riverbank. Follow the bike paths along the Danube River towards Budapest. This route is scenic but will take about an hour and a half to two hours of cycling. Once you reach the city center of Budapest, look for signs directing you to Deák Ferenc tér, which is a well-known square and easily accessible.
