If you are driving to the Hungarian State Opera, start by entering the main road leading into Budapest. Use the M1 or M7 highways, depending on your starting point. Once in Budapest, follow the signs for 'Centre' or 'Belváros'. As you approach the city center, look for Andrássy út, a major avenue. The opera house is located at Andrássy út 22, which is near the intersection with Oktogon. There are several parking facilities nearby, such as the Aradi utca parking garage, where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach the Hungarian State Opera using public transportation, first head to the nearest metro station. If you are in Central Hungary, you may need to take a train to Budapest's Keleti or Nyugati railway stations. From there, take the M1 (yellow line) metro towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the 'Opera' station. Once you exit the metro, you will find yourself on Andrássy út. Walk a short distance towards number 22, and you will arrive at the Hungarian State Opera. Alternatively, you can take tram line 4 or 6 to the 'Oktogon' stop and walk a few minutes to the opera house.
