Public Transport
From Tatabánya, head to the Tatabánya train station (Tatabánya Vasútállomás). Take a train towards Budapest. The trains are frequent, but check the schedule for exact times. Once you arrive at Budapest Déli (Southern) railway station, exit the station and head to the nearby bus terminal. Look for bus number 21 or 21A, which will take you to the János-hegy area. You can also take the cogwheel railway (Fogaskerekű) from the bottom of the hill, which is a scenic route. Get off at the János-hegy stop, and you will be at the base of the peak.

Walking
If you prefer to walk after arriving at the János-hegy stop, follow the signs towards the lookout tower. The path is well-marked and takes approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you hike up the trails leading to the top of János-hegy, where you will find stunning views of Budapest.
