From Tatabánya train station, take the train towards Budapest. Trains to Budapest run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 1 hour. Disembark at the Nyugati Pályaudvar (West Railway Station) in Budapest. From Nyugati Pályaudvar, you can take the M3 metro line (blue line) towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Get off at the 'Lehel tér' station. Then, transfer to tram line 14 towards Újpest-Központ. Ride the tram until you reach the 'Szentlélek tér' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Óbudai Múzeum located at Fő tér 1.
