Getting There

• Car

  From Hanság, take Route 82 towards Győr. Continue on Route 82 for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 10. Merge onto Route 10 and drive towards Esztergom. Follow the signs for Esztergom city center and continue until you reach Szent István tér (Square). The Basilica of Esztergom will be located at Szent István tér 1, 2500 Esztergom. There are parking facilities nearby, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  From Hanság, head to the nearest train station. Take a train towards Esztergom, which may require a transfer at either Győr or Székesfehérvár depending on your specific starting point. The journey typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Esztergom train station, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) to the Basilica or take a local bus. If walking, head south on Széchenyi utca and follow the signs towards Szent István tér.

  From Hanság, take a local bus to the nearest major city bus terminal. From there, catch a bus to Esztergom. The bus ride usually takes around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Esztergom bus station, you can walk to the Basilica, which is about a 15-minute walk. Head west on Szent István út, then turn left onto Szent István tér, where the Basilica is located. Be sure to check the bus schedules for the most accurate departure times.
