If you're traveling by car, start from Kiskunság and head towards Budapest. The most direct route is to take the M5 motorway heading north. After approximately 70 kilometers, merge onto the M0 ring road. Follow the signs for M1/M7 towards the city center. Take the exit for Budaörsi Út (Route 1) and follow signs for Citadella. You should see signs directing you to Citadella. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Parking is available near the entrance, but be prepared to pay for parking, which typically costs around 500 HUF per hour.

To reach Citadella via public transportation, take a train from Kiskunság to Budapest. Look for trains heading to Nyugati Pályaudvar station. Once you arrive in Budapest, transfer to tram line 47 or 49 towards Deák Ferenc tér. Get off at the 'Gellért Hill' stop. From there, it's a short walk uphill to Citadella. The entire journey takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on train schedules. Make sure to purchase a train ticket, which costs approximately 1,500 HUF, and a tram ticket for about 350 HUF.
