Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Kőszeg city center. Head southeast on Fő tér toward Széchenyi utca. Continue onto Kőszegi utca (Route 87) for about 1.5 kilometers. Turn left onto Ördög-árok street, which is well-marked. After about 500 meters, you will see the entrance to Ördög-árok on your right. Parking is available nearby but may require a small fee, so be prepared with some cash.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin by taking a local bus from Kőszeg bus station. Look for routes heading to the Kőszeg Mountains area; the bus stop is located near Fő tér. The bus ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Ördög-árok' (the stop is named after the location). From there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the entrance, following the signs that lead you through the natural landscape.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Kőszeg Mountains and prefer walking, you can hike to Ördög-árok from popular nearby trails. Starting from the Kőszeg Nature Reserve, follow the marked hiking paths toward the southwest. The hike is approximately 5 kilometers and should take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to carry water and wear comfortable hiking shoes.
