Car
From Kőszeg town center, head southeast on Main Street (Fő utca) towards Kossuth Lajos Street. Follow the signs for Kőszeg Mountains. After approximately 2 km, you will reach a fork in the road; take the left turn onto Kőszegi út. Drive for another 3 km, and you will see a small parking area on your left, which is the closest point to Ördög-árok. From the parking area, it is about a 15-minute hike on marked trails to reach Ördög-árok.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Szombathely or another nearby city to Kőszeg. Buses run regularly, and the journey may take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kőszeg bus station, head towards the town center. From there, take a taxi to the Ördög-árok trailhead, which should cost around 2000 HUF. Alternatively, you can walk from the bus station to the trailhead, which is approximately a 40-minute walk. Follow the signs leading towards the Kőszeg Mountains and look for marked trails to Ördög-árok.
Hiking
If you are already in the Kőszeg Mountains and wish to hike to Ördög-árok, start from the nearest marked trail. Follow the signs toward the Ördög-árok trail, which is well-marked and should take about 30 minutes to reach from the nearest trailhead. Ensure you have appropriate hiking gear and enough water for your journey.
