Car
If you're traveling by car in Lake Balaton, head towards Keszthely, which is located on the western shore of Lake Balaton. From the main road (Route 71), follow the signs for Keszthely. Once you are in Keszthely, navigate to Kastély utca. Festetics Palace is located at Kastély u. 1. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it may incur a fee depending on the location and duration of your stay.
Public Transportation - Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from various towns around Lake Balaton to Keszthely. Check the local bus schedules (Volánbusz) for routes that connect your location to Keszthely. Once you arrive at the Keszthely bus station, it's a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to Festetics Palace. Head south on Kossuth Lajos utca, then turn left onto Kastély utca. The palace will be at the end of the street.
Public Transportation - Train
If you prefer traveling by train, take a train to Keszthely from nearby towns such as Balatonfüred or Siófok. Upon arrival at Keszthely train station, you can either take a taxi or walk to Festetics Palace, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. To walk, head southwest on Kossuth Lajos utca until you reach Kastély utca, where the palace is located. The walk takes around 20 minutes.
